    Camp VT Cat Bathing 101

Here I am, Ti, sleeping on the porch, minding my own business....trying to catch up on my beauty sleep.

When who comes along but the little itch, also known as Juni.

So I let her stay and I decided she might need a little bath.

This activity went on for some time....until I noticed something odd about Juni's sucking abilities....

    101 part 2

Sure enough, she was trying to nurse on my chest....and hey, I don't have any nips there, but even if I did, they wouldn't work! So what gives with this little runt?

So this is what the little runt did to me. My Mom took photos. I am going to the animal welfare folks on Monday. This just isn't right. I shouldn't have to put up with this kind of treatment.

Aw Ti what a softie you really are. Juni wouldn't nurse on you if she didn't think you were a reasonable sub for her mom. We had an aby Theo who used to nurse on my husband's earlobe. He continued to do it off and on till he was about 5 years old. Never did it to me though. I belonged to Zoe his sister and they were very possesive of their human. Abys!!!!

Awwww these pics are adorable. This just proves Juni's love for her big brother Ti. I wonder if Juni will try this with Miley.

Oh My, I have never seen anything more adorable than those precious kitties of yours sasvermont and your captions on each picture had me in stitches. Very well done.
I think I'm in love with Ti. His markings are just gorgeous. That first picture of him is priceless.

    That is soooo cute!

LOL what a cute pair those two make! Juni is just beautiful, and hasn't Ti got THE most AMAZING markings! Wow!

Hehehe -Juni really feels absolutely comfortable and protected and sorry Ti -you look as if it would be easy for you to activate your motherly feelings This is a very good sign in boys

Filou used to nurse on Tigris when he was Juni's age. He did it until he was a year or so. Tigris was 3 weeks younger than Filou but at all times of his life nearly double as big

Ti, you are too funny but I don't think you have a paw to stand on! This is certainly not a cruel thing for sweet little Juni to do. She just wuvs her big brother and is a wee bit confused. I wonder where Miley was when all of this was going on. Hope she wasn't holed up in her closet.

    Where was Miley?

Well, it has been weeks since Miley set foot in the other part of the house, by choice or out of fear!

Miley lets Juni play with her but they don't cuddle like Ti and Juni. I don't think I will catch Juni trying to nurse on Miley!

Don't feel TOO sorry for Miley even though she has limited circulation in the house. She has plenty of windows and air conditioning on some days and gets to sleep with me each night....(highlight of her days).....She also gets to have Juni with her each evening and night....Juni stays with Ti in the other half of the house in the day time.

Juni loves Ti and is kind to Miley. I think Miley is the troubled pet in my house!

    a house divided

Oh dear, it sounds as if yours might be a house divided. Juni and Ti are bonding and Miley shows no sign of ever giving in to having Ti as a housemate. Seems like she has taken the It's him or me stance. Somehow Juni seems happily unaware of the friction which surrounds her. Talk about a soap opera. Keeps me tuning in for the latest episode.

Juni and Ti are so cute together! Juni is such a little lovebug!
I was hoping Miley would be a little happier by now, at least she has happy time with you and Juni.
It seems like Ti is the daytime babysitter for Juni and you and Miley are her nightime babysitters!

    Another try

I am thinking of a way of turning a few baby gates into a door like thing to put over one doorway, securely, but still able to open from time to time. The one door from my computer room/spare room to the living room would be nice to block off with the baby gates, but I just don't think the gates alone will hold up to the torture. So I will think about securing the gates to each other, in a fixed postion and then applying them to the door frame. It is going to look like hell, but hey, it's just until they get the frustrations out and become friends. That could be years!

When I went to the Vet on Saturday, with Juni, for her shots and checkup, I didn't ask the Vet for drugs for Miley, as I said I was going to do. I just didn't think and feel that was the answer. I think time will take care of this problem. I think once Juni matures and is friendly with both cats I am not sure Ti will know which cat is which.......and maybe Miley will be sick and tired of her current three rooms!

Doesn't Ti seem like a sweet guy? He just loves Juni so and cries for her each morning. Juni is like the child of divorced parents...being shared....hehehehehehe...Juni doesn't seem to mind at all. It is a routine now!
