Our German Shepard, Hailey, has been diagnosed with enzyme deficiency. She just turned one. She eats enough to weigh 100 lbs, but weighs about 60. Has anyone out there been through this? Thanks

yes i've heard of this, a friends dog was diagnosed with this in the past. you can ask the vet for advice on what type of enzymes to give, and as i recall the enzymes are for lifetime, but very inexpensive. the food your dog eats will also need to good quality also. hope this helps
joyce who has princess peanut, spokesdog for the catpack, mojo, magic, kira and squirty, members of the catpack, angel duke, a good dog who is missed and angel alex the wonder dog, handsome prince.
In the vets office I used to work at we had a few dogs w/ this & we gave them a supplement called pancreatic enzyme (I think) it comes in a brown bottle w/ yellow letters I think, it is a powder although they may have pill form by now. You add it to their food. They are ussually on this for life. It is quite expensive but seems to last a while so not too bad. A great quality food should also be fed. Good luck.
Soar high & free my sweet fur angels. I love you Nanook & Raustyk... forever & ever.
