And, the St. B turns into a FISH!!!

Out at my sister's house, Binx follows Rafe, the rottie, into the POND!!!


Rafe goes into the pond many times a day, to cool off...and just bobs about like the lochness monster...



Binx doesn't seem as fond of the pond as Rafe and Sugar, the newest rescue...and walks right back out.


They stay and play..with the little girl seeking refuge on Rafe's back.



Binx prefers his own 'pond'...the $9.99 special, filled with hose water, under a canopy, complete with tennis balls.


Only problem is, he won't lay down in it!! He just gets his ankles wet. Maybe he is afraid he will ruin his hair? He he..

How funny! Both our Saints LOVED the water, and would plunge right in - especially if we went first! Freckles would even fetch rocks if we picked an at-least fist-sized one and threw it in the pond, she'd come back out with that exact rock!

The funniest was, we would "fake drown" - call her, then sink underwater so she couldn't see us from shore. She'd plunge right in, and swim up to us and nudge us to the surface, but it's always quite hysterical to see a Saint Bernard underwater - the ears float and the jowls float so it was very hard to keep from laughing she looked so comical!

Freckles, though, did NOT like the beach - those waves kept chasing her, so she'd bark at them and they'd retreatr ... then the wave would come back, and she'd have to scare it away again ... one trip to the ocean with her was plenty!

I think he is going to like the water. I was totally surpised to see him trot in to the pond right behind Rafe (well, maybe not exactly right behind him). I am trying to get him used to the water, as mom has a pool!! We intend to be over there alot!

I am really trying to figure out how to fill a wading pool at the Dog Park...I think in July it may be hot enough all the dogs would appreciate it (if they get get Sadie out of the way, fromlaying inthe middle of it !!)
