    Bumbs on Max

I woke up this morning and Max was banging in his cage. Which he does sometimes, but when i looked closer he has bumbs all over him. Kind of like an allergic reaction. Looks like the size of a jelly bean under his skin. He must have been itching by rubbing himself against the crate because he cut himself, not bad, but there is a little blood. Any Idea's? I'm suppose to take him to the vet tomrrow, but I think I call and see if I can drop him off now. I hope he will be okay.

Ah, poor Max!! My Jingles would periodically get a case of the hives...they never did determine the cause, but the vet said that it's not all the uncommon in dogs. Usually treatment with Benadryl does the tricks; at least relieves the itching and discomfort! Has he been exposed to anything "new" lately...food, blanketing, medication, even a new laundry detergent? Hope he feels better very soon!

I just noticed your thread from a couple of days ago...had Max recently been vaccinated? Perhaps his lethargy, vomiting and now the hives is a reaction to something he was given at the vets?? Hoping for a good update!

    Good news

I went and picked up my baby at lunch time and he was a lot better. Doc said he might have been bitten by some type of bug. He got a steroid and some prednizone.

well, i went to my softball game last night and after i got home. Max had the hives again?? Very confused. I went and gave him Benadryl this morning. Hopefully at lunch, he will be better. I haven't switched his food or anything. Maybe it's beacuse I think my grandmom used different laundry detergent? That could be the only thing that has changed?>??
