Solstice, Summer and Midnight in for THE operation this morning.

This morning there has been previoulsy set up a date at the vet's for spaying Solstice and Summer, and neutering for Midnight. Solstice hurt her left rear leg 2 days ago, but she is slowly recovering. I do not know how she did it. Chrissie cat or one of the older, larger cats may have fallen on her. I took her into the vets' yesterday and asked if her bum leg would present any hindrance to being spayed. (Solstice has been sleeping on it in an open pet carrier all day yesterday. Sunday and yesterday, she wouldn't walk on it, nor eat anything.) The doc' replied, "No".

Good luck! Will be thinking of you and praying for your furry crew today.

I love the names of your kitties, Wayne. At first I thought you might be actually talking about the summer solstice which just happened last weekend.

I'm sorry to hear Solstice hurt her leg, but I'm glad to hear it won't hinder the operation. And while she's at the vet, maybe he can give you an idea of how the foot is doing.

Good luck Summer, Solstice and Midnight!

Hope things go well! I'll be looking for some positive updates.

I need to be at the vets' in an hour from now, to pick up Midnight, but the 2 girls probably won't be ready until tomorrow morning, however, I may get them tonight as well. It depends on how ready they are after anesthesia.

Thanks for all of your prayers and concern.

I just got back from the vets'. Midnight is OK, right now he is resting in the back porch. He immediately started to drink cool water. The weather here has been absolutely hot and humid (70%). Although the temps are only about 91 F. (33 C), my furkids havn't done much today except lay around the house and sleep. Jumper, Callie, and Midnight are no exception. I will pick up the 2 girls in the morning.

Several of you have expressed an approval toward the names I have chosen for my new furkids. I have named a few of them according to the time of year that I adopted them. I started to name Tiger "Halloween", but didn't think that would fit her! Naming you pets after a specific time of the year (Christmas cat, Summer and Solstice) helps me to remember just how long I have had them.

Amy got out today, but I got her back in within a few minutes. This is a bit surprising because usually she runs from me whenever I come after her -(little snot). But today she let me pick her up very soon after her escape. No doubt she still remembers Cookie's plight . I will have to come up with something that wll not allow Amy, Tiger, and Pepper to get out whenever I open the front door. It seems to me that these 3 are determined to escape whenever the opportunity allows.

Glad to hear the happy update, Wayne! I'm sure the girls are having a good snooze at the white coats! I'll bet you can't wait till tomorrow morning. Now Amy, don't go scaring your Dad like that!! Stay indoors, safe and sound! Thanks for the update, Wayne! Can't wait to hear how Solstice and Summer are tomrrow!

All three of them are OK. I brought the two girls home yesterday morning. Solstice had a slight fever. I was asked to bring her back for another checkup again this morning. She is OK now,and her leg does not appear to be bothering her anylonger. Yesterday theye were both a bit wobbly, but are doing just fine this morning.

Thanks all for your prayers and concern.
