What a day at the dog park!

Binx and I just walked in the door. Well, I walked, Binx kind of stumbled in, on account of him being 'dog' tired!

We had a wonderful time. The weather was really perfect, I think, overcast..which kept it cool for the hounds.

When I pulled up, there was Tubby and Peanuts welcoming headquarters. A HUGE motorhome (motorcastle?), and Debbie and Terry to greet Binx and I.

Within 30 minutes, the place was swarming with PT and their dogs. Everyone played together so nicely, even with 'strangers' that joined our group. The food was plentiful, the conversation always moving, the doggies always eating treats, etc.

Problem is!!! My camera won't upload any images right now! UGH. And, to tell you the truth, I am too tired to mess with it right now.

    What a great fun day.

Anyone else have a cam out there and want to give us our picture fix?

I didn't get to the pet talk meeting until late due to the baby shower I had to go to but it seemed that everyone had a good time. I thought the dogs would be all wore out before we got there with Snoopy, Jack and Taggert but that was not the case. There was lots of energy left for mine to plug into. Molly and Mike were just getting ready to leave - it was almost 4:00 before we were able to get there. But I got to peak at the 6 dogs they brought and pet Billie because he had not been loaded up yet.

I was a little worried how Jack would do with so many dogs but with Mike and Molly leaving everyone was outside the dog park having a group picture taken when we got there. A few people at a time went back into the area so Jack didn't have to meet everyone at once but could get use to a few at a time. He seemed to do well with all of them. A "stranger" to the pet talk group was there - Hunter, a long haired pointer and he and Jack did not seem to get along too well. But Jack listens pretty well and it didn't seem to hard to keep them apart.

As usual Taggert did his best to aggravate Graham. I guess because he knows that Graham doesn't like it and will turn and growl at him. Taggert picks and picks and picks. He needs someone to knock him down once and then maybe he would learn.

Snoopy would beg Kia to chase him and then when Kia would get a little too close, he would duck under the picnic table as if to say that it was safe territory. And when Kia would walk away, out would come Snoopy and start it all over.

All the dogs had more treats than you can possibly imagine. Dog treats and people treats! Left over hot dogs, cookies, and a sausage biscuit from McDonalds ( is that right, Phred?).

Since most the dogs were there quite a bit longer than mine, I am sure they will all be worn out. Snoopy however, has not completely worn down. Amy stopped on the way home and her 3 were completely wiped out. Snoopy and Jack were rough housing though and Taggert had to pick at whoever didn't want him around.

Another great outing in Findlay - great day for all!!!

We had such a great time. Mike and I forgot our camera so, alas, we can't share any. I was just a tad irritated because we left in kind of a hurry thinking we were REALLY late getting home and our stupid cell phone had gone to Ohio time so we were actually not late at all.

Anyway, our dogs slept almost the entire way home (and so did Mike). They ran and played and had a great time interacting with the other poochies and people. Poor Ralph, requested Sophie and she blew him off for the first hour and a half, but his persistance paid off and they got to be buddies. Binx is about the cutest thing walking. I wanted to take him home. Johanna is a great mommy. Pebbles was very protective of Binx's toy and growled at anyone (4 legged) who got close to it (selfish thing). The food was great and the company was better. Thanks Deb and Terry for the great stuff from the motor home and the welcoming committee. Phred made his awesome chocolate chip cookies again. Our bean dip got spilled by Pebbles on the way to the park, so it was a mess. Johanna tried to steal our fold up chair (she said she wasn't sad that Mike and I were leaving, but didn't want the chair to leave! lol). Mike took the dogs on runs around the park....it was pretty amusing to watch. Mike being pursued by 20 dogs!! All in all, it was a fantastic day.

How does July 12 sound for the next meeting at the park??? Gee, do I sound like I had a good time?? lol

Well, we are home now too, and as my mom said the dogs are pooped!!! Ralph and I are tired too, but we have another party to go to!!! So we unloaded our van, I stopped quick to report in and we'll be off again!

It really was a fun day! It amazes me everytime we can get 25+ dogs together they all get along so well....about 4-5 hrs into some of the dogs start getting a little snippy, but after all that hard running who wouldn't?

Spot didn't do quite as much misbehaving this time...and maybe a little more with Keegan then Huney ( what can I say, he likes a fluffy tail!) Huney got plenty though, from Spot and Zach and I think a few others!

I won't have pictures for a few days...I'm still old fashioned with my 35mm. Hold on, I'm sure someone with a digital will report in soon!!!

We'll see what opinions are about the 12th and if that seems to work, I'll roll the deposit over again and see if can get the same shelter house.

I am two rooms away from Binx, and I can hear him snoring like crazy! I am still sans pictures..I am going to pm Staci, as we have the same digi cam, and ask her what is up.

As to me wanting to steal Mike and Molly's chair, it is TRUE! It was so comfy, and for $5.00, a real bargain. But, they packed it up and away it went.

I almost forgot!!! Binx got his official KEG today! Now he is just like the dogs in the Alps....and we are going to 'wear' it tomorrow as we stroll down for our am coffee...the keg, and beautiful Binx pin were compliments of Phred! I really love both of them, and I just know the keg is going to bring much laughter.

All right, I am wiped out. I have to go rouse the slumbering giant for one more PB, then, to bed for us. July 12 would be great!

He and Binx definitely were the hits of the day it seems. He really is a lover and very soft, but he's off limits!! lol Thanks for the compliment though.
