    Delta is in the house!

My incredibly timid foster dog (Yes, I am still deluding myself that he's a foster!), Delta, is in the house tonight. Ok, I had to carry him from the run to the house, but he was alright with that! This dog won't walk on a leash, just cowers. If he were a cat, he'd be considered feral. Fortunately, he is just terrified, not an aggressive bone in his body.

Currently he is lounging on a dog bed at the back door, checking out the cats and watching everything with great interest. He's getting more relaxed every time I go check on him--gone from shaking and curling up to having his ears up and his back legs kicked out behind him. He has a fancy new collar on now and is looking very handsome. Even let me brush him a bit.

I am so proud of this little guy. This is a huge step for the little skeerdy dog!

Delta meets his first cat, Polly Paws. She's very good for teaching dogs not to bug the cats.

Sounds to me like he's in the right place now, don't you think so?
