Please take a look at beautiful Holly

This is Holly who is one of the owners of my neighbour Glenys, (she is owned by 3 cats and a dog, I posted about one of the other two cats, PussPuss, last week.)
Silly me forgot to ask about Hollys age and origins I will have to find out and update. One thing I do remember Glenys telling me is that Holly likes to drink her water straight from the tap (faucet), I know a lot of Pet Talkers have cats that do that too. Anyway, here are the pictures.

    Hope you enjoy!

Oh how pretty! Her nose looks like the shape of a heart.
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers

    She is beautiful.

On the second photo, I think I saw black, white and red, a calico kitty ???

Thanks K&L, Kirsten, Donna and PIF.

PayItForward, you are right, she does have red, but strangely enough only recently. Glenys and I were talking about just that when I was taking the pictures. I have always seen her as black and white and Glenys said she is/was, the red seems to have happened as she has aged.

Sometimes black is turning into a reddish color when they get older (or lack of vitamins could be responsible for that as far as I know - maybe other's know more about it). Anyway, I've seen it happen in some cats.

Beautiful Holly with the heart on your nose, you have our hearts.

I did look into the coat question.

On vetinfo.com I found a question from someone whose cat had been checked for inflammatory bowel disease. In his answer Mike Richards DVM answered that it might be a good idea to have the cats serum protein value checked. IBD (and I (me, Steffi) assume there are other conditions that can do this) can cause difficulty absorbing protein or vitamins and low serum protein can lead to a reddish discoloration of the coat.
    Here is the link.

Holly, you are very precious. I just love your markings. Kisses to you and thanks Christine for posting this.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

    Holly is a beautiful cat!
I love the close-up photo showing off her cute little black nose.(like my Samantha's)
It looks like she wants a belly rub on that fluffy belly in the last photo. Could you give her one from me please?
    RIP sweet Samantha
