    Hi Chicken B!! Aren't you the pretty, er, handsome birdie boy!! Wow, you are as colorful and cheerful as a burst of summer sunshine! I love that little touch of red in your beak! So lovely! And I never knew that 'keets were so talkative! That's quite an impressive vocabulary you've got there Chicky B! And how your humans must cherish those sweet, gentle kisses!     Oh my Chicken Bone! What a cutie you are! You look so playful and happy! Congrats on being chosen as our very special POTD!

    Ps. For those of you that are surprised about a parakeet talking so much, I'm assuming typical parakeets (budgies) are what's coming to your mind. Chicken Bone is a ringneck parakeet, and a totally different bird from a budgie, what we normally know as *parakeets.* Although budgies *can* learn to talk, this little cutie is a ringneck parakeet and not the kind of parakeet we normally think of when we hear that word. There are many types of parakeets and a budgie is just one of them.
