Trash day

I had one of "those" days at work in fact I'm having one of "those' weeks. So I leave work late (again), battle the traffic to get past the post office and get home and I walk in to find that my sweet little furkids have been having a blast all day!

The Carnage:

Actually it didn't take me long to clean up and I really didn't get mad, but the pictures just don't do it justice.
They almost never do things like this, but at lunch I opened a can of dog food (a treat for being good, oh the irony) and put the empty in the trash.
Man what a foul odor there was in my house when I walked in!
It need to be taken out anyway. LOL

See now this is one of the advantages I have owning a Chihuahua. I've never had a garbage instance! LOL.

Aha--they smelled that food can in the garbage!!! Abbey cannot help herself if she smells anything in the garbage.

Eeewww! The eggshells were the worst! Yucky! They didn't seem to have actually eaten anything so that's good.

Cisco's Mom I know what you mean. I miss my little chi Tinker(RB), but he always got in the bathroom trash, which can be just as gross!

LOL! Actually Chester knows when he's done something wrong and he sits by the pet door ready to make a quick getaway!

Millie on the other hand is oblivious that she's been bad and greets me in her usual spastic way.

Ah, yes, I've walked into the house to find that setting before! Only the girls really seem to over do it when there were coffee grounds in the trash which are now all over the carpet and the dog beds, along with all of the other trash! Yeah, that ones not fun to pick up either. And our girls really know how to destroy a trash bag so that you can't reuse it to even pick anything up!

So, I hope your week goes better and you can teach those pups of yours not to do that!

It looks like they had a good old fashioned doggie party while you were gone I think they left the mess for you just to show you what you were missing!
