That was kind of an outburst wasn't it?

I don't have any of other animals, but here is what Mickey looked like 1 day old: (he's in the middle)

    and then a week old:

    Looks like a little pig...

    lol that is too cute!!!
Had you picked out Mickey right from when he was born?

And cali - I love your guinea pups, they're so sweet! In the last three pics the babies look so young, like, only a few hours
I love guineas when they're first born....their ears are so wrinkly and their feet are so big

No, I didn't have any complications with my guinea pig's births. Most of them were born at night, actually, apart from one of Opal's litters, which were born during the day when I was at school - but she had SEXTUPLETS - and I guess she just couldn't hold them until night, which is their preferred time, I believe. But apparently sextuplets are not that common, so we were quite lucky that Opal didn't have complications. It was quite a taxing pregnancy for her, of course - she was ENORMOUS by the end of it (I'll post a pic if you like...she looked like a little balloon), and she lost a lot of weight trying to feed six pups too, after they were born, as guinea pigs only have two nipples and the sextuplets constantly needed to nurse as they were so small (being part of such a large litter).
We still have two of the sextuplets, Hallie and Pyper. They'll always be small for their age but they still have a lot of guinea love packed into such small bodies!

Zan - We had first pick of the litter. We got to visit and pick when he was 4 weeks old. Don't regret it one bit. Thanks

I don't have any pics of Rattus being preg cause I didn't have a camera at that time. but she was so big she could hardly walk or move. I had to wash her with a damp towel & put her in a tiny cage so she wouldn't have to move far to eat or drink. Rattus ended up having 18 or so (saddly I forget right now darnit) & they were normal sized baby rats. I couldn't help but laugh at her cause of her silly waddling & the fact thet her tummy was large enough to house an adult rat inside her & it was my first time seeing rattie nipples, & they tickled my hands when she would walk around... heheh but hers were huge compaired to my other rattie mommies, I'll show u guys a pic of her (not preg)

    heres Rattus's baby named Rat

    heres Y my rescue rat

    heres Mike, Rattus's hubby & Rat's daddy

u just have to know how to get the rat to like the mouse... my rat loved the mouse sooooo much, Mike would treat the mouse like a baby rat. He would clean it, pick it up & bring it to the nest & then sleep ontop of it. I was worried that the mouse would be crushed but he was ok.. he liked it... the mouse normally slept on its back while Mike lay right ontop if it.. all u could see was a pair of mouse feet & a tail... heheh
