Porcy welcome! It's always great to see a fellow New Jerseyan on the boards! I don't have a shih-poo but I do have a couple of poodles who are lap dogs. Unfortunately only one of them fits into my lap even though the other one often tries. Ripley is my black mini poodle who lives to be in someone's lap and usually that lap is mine. He's a real cuddler. I wouldn't have it any other way though!

Welcome to Pet talk!! I don't have a lap dog, just one who is way too big but thinks she is, and one who is "too good" to sit with us!!! Abbey is a giant beagle, and she wants to be a lap dog, and Kito is a stubborn Shiba--but I love them both so much!!!

Thanks guys, your poodles are cute,in the pics there. My pup,has black hair with a little white on her chest and toes have some and then her tip of her tail. Her hair is wavy but was growing long like a shih-tzu's.gonna have her clipped soon. I find these small ones are so different. So much energy.

Hello and welcome to pet talk! My name is Christy and I've got three furkids who think they're lapdogs. Destiny is a 14 month old dalmation, Dakota is a 10 month old harlequin great dane (may be big to be a lap dog, but she thinks she is), and Sierra a 3 month old lab mix! Hope you enjoy it here!

I don't have any, but my neighbor's just had her 3rd litter a while ago. They are so small and frisky, I mean all puppies are but Shih Tzus are really small! Do you know what size the Poodle is?

I think all dogs are born 'lap dogs, ' but sometimes it depends on your size lap. Like me, I would be more then glad to have a Great Dane lay by/on me.

Yes, I woke up with morning with a great dane on each side of me, my dalmation curled up next to me, and our lab mix somewhere near me too! It was kind of getting uncomfortable though when the danes started smashing my legs, I had to move and then one of the danes got down and moved to the love seat in the living room. What a crazy house we have right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!
