Toby you are such a handsome man. My orange tabby tomcat, Manny, is sitting in my lap as I type this. I think it is cool you are a watch cat. Isn’t it fun to chase and pounce on “bed mice?” I can just picture you running from window to window, keeping an eye on the intruders into your domain. Whoa! Now that's a big-eared cat! I bet Toby is not only a "watch" cat but a "listening" cat as well - probably picks up the approach of those intruding cats, dogs, moose, people, whatever, when they are still blocks away.

I am especially pleased that you mentioned so many of Toby's activities without once likening him to a dog.

I have been preaching long and hard on this subject and it seems like my message is finally getting through - or perhaps you just knew, even without my preaching, that a cat is a cat and is always a cat and is never a dog or even like a dog.

Toby looks sleepy. Perhaps it is time for him to take a break from his frenetic activities, lie down, take a nap, and dream of his brother. Even in tales of joy, it seems, there is always a root of sadness.
