    Momma's Boy

Tubby is such a Momma's boy. He has to be with me at all times...except when he needs a nap. But even then he'll nap near to where I am.

In the mornings he will come in the bathroom with me while I take a shower and dry my hair. Then this is the expected routine (except having the camera is the exception here).

I'm expected to pick him up so he can snuggle on my shoulder. He rubs his cheeks on my head and shoulders and head bumps my head. All this while I'm trying to make the bed because if I set him down before the bed is made, I need to make the bed around him which doesn't work very well. And he likes this routine so much that he complains when I put him down, but sorry Tubby, I really need to get dressed now and I can't do that and hold you at the same time!

And here he is waiting for me to figure out where I'm going. I had gone upstairs so he had started following me up, but I was only up there a second and I came back down, so he didn't know if he should continue up or come back down. "Mom, will you please make up your mind?"

Awww, you're so lucky - mine is an "aloof" type, who only comes up on my lap when HE feels like it. But how the HECK can you make a bed with a big black kitty on your shoulder?? I'm impressed! Gee, maybe you'll have to buy one of those baby carriers that straps across your chest to carry your "baby " while you do the housework!
The legend says that Mohammed adored cats. When one of them was sleeping on his sleeve and he had to go out, Mohammed supposedly cut off the sleeve so as not to disturb his pet.

That is so funny... my Tucker does the exact same thing! He will sit and stare up at me until I pat my chest and then he will jump into my arms and climb up on my shoulder! He also follows me up and down the stairs! hehehe.... Gotta love 'em!!!

Exactly! Tubby is 15 lbs and making the bed while holding him is a chore - one handed while trying not to lean over too far - but anything beyond that and I have to put him down because it just doesn't work.

Oh, and see how he's kind of, like, hanging on to my shoulder? Well, if he starts slipping down a little too far (read: his mom's arm starts getting tired from holding 15 lbs of big black Tubby), he'll stand up on his hind legs and try and climb back up again. Sometimes he ends up more over my shoulder than on my shoulder, with just his butt and tail at face level. He's my baby, what can I say.

    that is soooo cute.
Mozart USED to be sort of like that when he was a baby. He used to meow whenever I would leave the room, so I'd have to go pick him up and take him with me... and once my husband was up and it was time to make the bed, he would jump up there and help...

Now however he's too "grown up" for stuff like that, and although he makes sure he knows where I am at before he does his own thing, it's more like "leave me alone until i'm ready".. *sigh*

Bach is pretty much aloof, unless he wants to play..
and Eliza will be right by you when she's awake carrying on a conversation, but like all kitties.. she loves to sleep

Hayley follows me around everywhere as well and now Mandy is! The only thing about Mandy is she is so small and I'm afraid I'm going to step on her. She is always right at my feet! I hope she soon starts following Hayley and they become the best of friends like Lut's Inka and Maya. I know what you are going to say. It takes time.

Juni is so small, I could carry her around on my shoulder all the time, except she stays only when she feels like. Usually she stays some minutes, then jumps down and ... OH GOD... brings me toys to play with her.

My cat Samantha is a Momma's Girl but she doesn't like to be carried, she follows me from room to room and begs for attention until she gets it.
