Other kitties who are not so clever bring mice although it should be known in cat circles by now that people do not eat mice.
But you brought cooked lamb chops and nevertheless they do not see how good you care for them

Well, Rupert, I am going to tell you what an adorable little fluffball you are in your picture. I am sure that you are even more beautiful now that you are older and have grown into those big ears and big golden eyes. Cats do have to endure such indignities as being nuzzled, having our gifts rejected, and being forbidden to play with toes. And the breakfast bar is such a good place to observe the behavior of your humans. I hope that a new friend eventually comes to live with you.

O Sweetest of Fluffballs, Rupert! Everything I have read about you today makes me wish that I had a Rupert of my very own. This Rupert could sleep in bed with us and pounce our feet, even bring home lambchops if it pleases him--but I fear I cannot promise not to kiss him. I have a great weakness for kissing cats of all descriptions, and I am very careful not to make loud smacking noises that would hurt their ears. Actually, I kiss animals of every kind, horses, dogs, even a pig once, but he was a very sweet pig.
