Sorry if this is a stupid question , but what is a "rocket pack" ????
A pack that goes on a person's back, and rockets or such devices are inside. They can be used to lift a person up. Many of the older science fiction movies showed them. They used one in opening ceremony of the Olympics in Los Angles if I recall.Originally posted by lut

I don't really think its fair to put dogs (or animals) through that..
My babies: Josie, Zeke, Kiba, Shadow (AKA Butter)
This was just a rumor you heard, and I doubt that it is true. Rocket packs would be designed for humans, made to fit a human form, and have human-operated controls. Using a dog just does not make logical sense.
Perhaps you are confusing modern science with Layka, the famous Russian dog who was first in space?
i agree with slleipnir but this does sound more like a rumour than the truth.
and sorry if THIS is a stupid question, but did layka make it in space?
