round worm

Sadie has round worm - she had diarrhea and one came out in her poop, looked like a piece of spaghetti. She's on medication now and the vet says she'll be fine but it sure did scare me!

Oh, poor Sadie!!

My guinea pig suffered from round worm infestation, but happily a few courses of medic. did the trick! Hope you're feeling lots better now sweet Sadie!!

Sabies...Just wondering what she was treated with. Was it Ivermectin or Albon??

The medicine is Drontal Plus, apparently made by Bayer. There are only 2 doses and they are to be given 2 weeks apart, then she gets another stool test.

Sadie's appetite isn't too good but her energy level is high. I think she may be waiting for her daily pig ear treat before she eats. That's been put on hold til the stool sample's clean so she'll have to give in and eat her regular food.
