Just a little something that made my day!

I needed a few groceries, but, didn't want to stop at the big supermarket. So, into this specialty meats and produce store I went (thinking, oh great, this is economical).

I went to the meat counter and saw some nasty lookin' liver and thought, "Tex might like that!". So, I asked the guy behind the counter for three pieces of stew meat (which I think he would like, too), and a tiny piece of liver. He looked at me oddly, and I said, "For my cat..." and smiled. He just smiled and did that look that says "Oh, you are one of THOSE types, eh?". So, I went on with my shopping, and went to the counter where I discovered, much to my suprise and delight...

He had marked both items, "No Charge" with a smiley face! YAY!!!

I know it wasn't any big financial thing to the store, but, it sure made me happy!!

Sounds like a very nice butcher, I bet you'll shop there again! I'm sure Tex are gonna love it!! - if not the ones at home have eaten it before Tex gets back!

Leave on the kitchen table and they'll unpack it for you for sure!!

    How very sweet!

It lifts my heart. Thanks for telling us about it.

Actually, that's a very savvy business man. He knows that Jo will probably go back there and buy more often because of that small act of kindness.

Some people (men?) are able to hide their real feelings very
well. A gruff sounding or seemingly dumb remark can hide a
lot of TRUE feelings & even agreement with your own. They
just can't say it out loud.

" He looked at me oddly, and I said, "For my cat..." and smiled. He just smiled and did that look that says "Oh, you are one of THOSE types, eh?". So, I went on with my shopping, and went to the counter where I discovered, much to my suprise and delight...

I think this guy probably has a kind heart. Thanks for sharing
    this story.
