    A new eye ointment

It is not known how new this stuff is, but it is new to me. It is called "Vetropolycin". The main reason I bring this to the attention of the Pet Talkers is that it does wonders in a short time for your furkids eye infections. In fact, just 2 applications, and the infection has cleared up on Cookie, Fawn, Puma, and Chris.

Vetropolycin is very simliar to Terramycin in the fact it aids against conjunctivitis and URI oozing. There is also another form of the Vetro used to treat plain eye redness. The medicine is very effective in cats, but more slower with the dogs. Where Terramycin works just as fast.
I have had Minnie since I was 4 years old!! I am 18 now, she is truly my best friend for life!! I also am a momma to 6 other beauties as well :-)

Jill, thanks for your input. I have tried terramycin, but it takes many days for it to do anything for my furkids. Yet, just 2 applications of this vetro, and their eye oozing and infections cleard up. It appears from this last go-round that some of my furkids are prone to catch it again while the others who never had it, would probably never get it.

    Geesh

That is the throuble with having more than one cat. If one gets something, they all get it. What was the inital problem that all of your kitties ended up with the eye "boogers"? I remember when I first fostered "Cupcake" and she had everything wrong with her under the sun, I was petrified that my oldest, Minnie would catch something and not heal due to her age. I had to seclude all of my cats to different areas of the house!!

Wow! 2 days and their eyes are all clear? That's great Wayne!!

Jill, would you happen to know anything about Neobacimyx-H ? That's what we were given for Basil on his last visit for his eyes. (Before this week)

Jill, when I brought home my 2 newest rescues, they both had sneezing bouts and drippy eyes. Two more of my original pride also contracted it, but they had it before, so I wasn't surprised. The remaining six furkids were not bothered with the ailment. The two originals had clymedia infection when they were kittens.

lut, the label on the tiny tube states,'bacitracin-neomycin-polymyxin, vetinary opthalmic ointment." The writing is so small that it can be barely read. I hope this helps.
