Beautiful Bit!
Dearest Bit, you are as beautiful as can be! What an absolutely stunning Maine Coon Cat you are, with that long, fluffy, so-soft-looking fur in shades of orange and brown and black and grey and white, and just look at that TAIL!!! You have the sweetest face with those long, LOOOONG white whiskers and lovely big pale-green eyes. You look so dignified and majestic in that great photo, and thank you for sharing it with us. I wish I could reach through the screen and up over to Winnipeg, Manitoba and pet you, and pet your dear kitty housemate, too! I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved Purrrson will pet you both for me
.
And what a delightful Purrrsonality you have! You are a wise, mature lady of seventeen years who knows just what she wants: food and a lap and extra-special attention. You were just a kitten when you met your dear Purrrson-to-be, and you've been together all these years, following him/her to three cities spanning half a continent! You're one of the friendliest and most people-oriented cats she/he has ever known. Your favorite pastimes are swatting your kitty housemate (playfully, we hope) and looking for a nice warm place to nap. We're so glad you're an indoor cat, much safer for you! And how nice that you get to enjoy going outside occasionally on supervised "walks" to graze on grass. You keep busy sitting in the bathtub waiting for someone to turn on the water so you can have a drink. You are quite the conversationalist, expressing your thoughts in a deep, gravelly "Waah!" and lots of purrrs. Your Purrrson says you're "a cat of a lifetime," and after living with you for nearly two decades, he/she can't imagine never having met you! You love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!
Congratulations, darling Bit, on being chosen Cat of the Day! We hope you and your dear Purrrson and kitty housemate and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats.

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
