To his person: I know you have your hands full with that young guy but from the tone of your writing, I believe you have the patience, the love and the persistence to bring Salazar to his full potential. In my own case I have seen love work wonders with dogs and I know of no reason why it won't work in your case. Congratulations to Salazar on being our Dog Of The Day. What a hunky, handsome, gentle giant of a Dane you are! I too love that shot of you cuddled up on your couch...so sweet! It's no fun having to be re-homed, but thankfully you found your way to a most loving and committed forever family, one dedicated to giving you all the time required to settle in! Your Mom/Dad worked so hard to make your homecoming a reality, her/his dream a reality, and I have no doubt before long you're going to blossom into the most well mannered pup in the neighborhood! After all it was meant to be that you and she/he would be as one...you even share the same birthday! And hopefully one day you'll have another Dobie bud of your very own to pal around with! What fun that will be!

More years then I care to remember ago... Helga a blue Dane was my friend as a young teenager... I couldnt have a dog at that time.. and Helga's guardian allowed me to "help" with Helga. Precious memories.
