Griffin Pond Contest UPDATE: They won! Thank you to all who voted.

Hey All,

Griffin Pond Animal Shelter and I are gearing up for a great contest which will start on 9/6. www.chasegiving.com Chase is giving over 100 grants to charities ranging from 10K-100K. The contest will take place on Facebook with every Facebook member getting 2 votes total (to vote for 2 different charities) and Chase customers getting 4 votes total. From my experience with this contest, I can tell you that every vote makes a tremendous difference.

Griffin Pond has not been in a contest since the Pepsi contest so we are really gearing up for this one. The Pepsi grant helped the community a great deal in that free spay/neuters were provided to people who met the financial criteria. Griffin Pond itself did not get any of that funding; which they desperately need. This grant will be able to be used for whatever Griffin Pond feels they need to most.

Again, the voting doesn't start until 9/6 but I just wanted to put the word out now. If possible, please consider using one of your 2 votes for Griffin Pond. There are other great animal groups competing and they will have my support as well. As usual, the animal advocate community on Facebook will work together to ensure that as many charities as possible can win grants. When any shelter wins money, we all win.

We at Griffin Pond and Peaceful Paws have been nominated to participate in a wonderful contest opportunity through Chase Community Giving. The contest takes place on Facebook from 9/6 through 9/19/12. Chase will be giving out 5 million dollars spread out over the top 196 vote getters. The grants will range from 10K through 100K depending on where the top 196 charities finish. We would LOVE to win 100K but will be grateful for any grant we receive. This grant money will be able to help with our general operation costs and save more animals lives.
