If you could have any pet...

If you could have any pet and you had full knowledge about their behavior and how to take care of them, etc. what would it/they be?

for me, my absolute favorite animal on the planet... either one or six wolves.
i'd also like a crow, a fruit bat, a skunk, and a humming bird. perhaps also a chinchilla and sugar glider. (and i guess it counts, since i can't actually have one where i live, i also would like a horse.)

hmmmm i geuss another question that would go along w/ this. i almost decided it could be another topic, but hey, they're related.
also, What animals are redily available and have no legislation in your area, that you don't have, but want? however, for some reason, you know you don't have time for it. (or any other reason.)

for me, that would be a cat, a huge tank full of fish, a blue male parakeet, dusky conure, and... and...lol i actually don't have that many animals i desire badly...that is soo weird. there's probally about a dozen or more breeds of dogs i want. ohhhh, i know those little things you can buy in the store...sea monkeys.

by the way, this is supposed to be a thread intended souly for the purpose of fun.

I would probably say my dog Eli, half collie and half lab, would be the best pet in the world, if only he could learn the art of washing and folding clothes.

I find it difficult to find animals I would not want (except snakes, I still have to work on my fear of them).

Mine would be a few more cats, a "few" dogs, certainly wolves, a couple of donkeys, horses goats and a number of dolphins thrown in for good measure!

ah! both excellent replies! i was so nervous when i started this thread, but now, i think i know we are going to have some fun w/ it.

yeah, i think if i could, i'd give King some sort of immortality potion, that would make him perfectly healty and he would live until it was time for me to die. the folding luundry would be nice. i'd just be happy if he ate all the spiders.

yeah, there's a few animals i don't think i'd like, including a few breeds of dogs. snakes i can handle. i wish you luck w/ your phobia! no scorpians for this girl....no way! or centipedes!!!!!

For me, if I could do it all over again, instead of buying a home in the city, I would buy a home in the country with lots of property where I could take in dogs who were sick and homeless. Of course Perry and Daisy would be with me and my husband is an excellent pooper scooper so although I love all animals, I'm afraid I'm hooked on dogs, any kind of dogs.

I really want a fox. Or a monkey, bear, panther... well there's not really an animal I don't like so I'd be happy with anything as long as it wasn't mean.

I've always admired conures and african gray parrots. Maybe one day I will have one.

I would want a bottle nose dolphin and/or an African elephant. But if I was forced to only have one species of animal for the rest of my life it would be dogs of course

Neat question!!! I would need more hours in my day and more square feet in my house, plus more acreage, but I would have exactly what I have now (Honey and Lilly,2 dogs, Mimi and Butter, 2 cats, and Phoebe and Evelyn, 2 hamsters), and then I would add some fish in a big aquarium, a goldfish pond in my yard, and a chinchilla or two. Plus, I would continue to add more needy dogs and cats to the fold. And while I'm dreaming, I would also get at least two guinea pigs.

Hope you weren't looking for one specific answer!!!!

Ooops. I forgot. While we're at it, could I add a couple of tame birds, and maybe a turtle or two? And a full time petsitter!!!

Daisy IS my dream pet, but if I could get another one, I'd love a monkey! They are so smart and could do chores

I think I'd want one of those minature horses. They are so cute. I love horses but I am a tad afraid of them, so I think one of the little ones would be a perfect solution.

    Thanks Logan!

no, anything goes on this one. i actually think the idea of rescue is neat! im my "dream" world though where all of us are very knowledged in animals, everyone would be, and no animal would need to be rescued. however posts can be based on as real or dreamy conditions as the poster wants. given different criteria, may answers would change. for example, if this also included animals that are extinct or not proven to exist, my answer would also include, a dragon, a unicorn, a velicaraptor, and a fantasy dire wolf. (real dire wolfs were tiny compared to grey wolves, fantacy ones were three times as big.) however i was trying to keep my answer somwhat realistic. like, i'd never have all of the animals i listed all at once. though i do hope that sometime, some point in my life i do end up w/ one of them.
no, this thread is to be what each individual poster makes of it. and everyone is welcome to add more answers if they like.

I wouldn't have one specific type of animal. My dream would be to have a no-kill shelter. I'd like nothing more than to give sick and hurt animals a chance at health and happiness again, and to give all the animals who've never known a good, loving home a chance to finally have one.

Still, my dream is to go to the Rescue websites, click on "Animals Available" and see the word NONE come up. I'm with the rescue sanctuary with all types of animals there.
I have always been interested in wolves. In fact, when I was a kid (in the age of dinosaurs) my favorite stuffed toy was a large wolf named (how unique) "Wolfie". I took that stuffed toy EVERYWHERE.
