    Sadie's been sick :(

My poor Sadie girl has an upset tummy Monday morning we woke up at 4 am to the pleasent sound of dog retching. After that she seemed fine...til 5 am Tuesday, when she got sick again, this time ON OUR BED!!! She got sick again right before I left work. We didn't feed her, and Ralph called the vet whenthey opened and they said maybe she was metabloising her food too fast and getting sick from an empty stomach. Well, Ralph went homet o check her at lunch and she had thrown up 7 more times! he called the vet back and and took her in. They gave her a shot to stop the vommiting, some IV fluids and said not to give her anything for 24 hrs. Well, about an hour ago I gave her 1/2 c. chicken broth and about 1/2 hr ago some boiled chicken...so far so good. Keep fingers and paws crossed things keep going well!

    Thanks!!!

oh SWEET SADIE girl!! You just have to feel better soon, especially for the pet talk meeting!!! poor baby.
Shaianne had trouble with cholitis and gastritis, and had to be put on antibiotics. She got so good at vomiting she did it silently. I would wake up to 4-5 piles around the house!!!
    Feel better soon sweet Sadie!

Sadie seems to be doing much better...hasn't gotten sick since Tuesday am, and is eating her own food again. I see no reason she can't still come play Sunday

I still think the vet may have been right originally, about the empty stomach. She never really had anything in it when she got sick. And about 2 weeks ago I switched them to a lower-cal food...same brand, still Lamb and rice just reduced calorie. Great for Cincy, but sadie has such high metabloism I just think it didn't stick with her. So, i stopped today and bought her a bag of her Active Adult food, and I'll just have to feed the girls different foods til Cincy loses some wait.
