    Death thought about it.

    Thank you, Pat! I haven't been out much today, but yesterday I went for a demonstration at the town hall square, thee were some really good speeches and I got to meet a politician I have been e-mailing with, and had a nice chat with another from the same party.

    I can see that I better get a good nights sleep, because tomorrow a lot of children will be gathering in the little park across from my building - I bet it's gonna be loud! These are pics from 2010:

    Oh, what fun! It looks like a big holiday celebration for children. Where do all those balloons go after they pop or deflate? It sounds like you have some worthwhile political gatherings, too. Well done, Danes!

    For the benefit of any non-Danes reading, here's Constitution Day from Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constit..._%28Denmark%29), :

    ------>
    Constitution Day (Danish: Grundlovsdag), observed on June 5, commemorates the anniversary of the signing of the Danish constitution of 1849, which established Denmark as a constitutional monarchy, and honors the constitution of 1953, which was adopted on the same day. Almost all workplaces and shops are closed at noon on this particular day[4] and political rallies and meetings are traditionally held.

    The day, however, is not widely used to celebrate the constitution as is seen in other countries, for example Norway or Sweden.

    This day is also Father's Day in Denmark.
    --------------

    Happy Father's Day to any Danish fathers reading, too!

    And Randi, I saw this when I went looking for the info on Grundlovsdag, and I thought you might be interested:
    Wikipedia's WikiProject Denmark: "This WikiProject was formed to foster better articles on the nation of Denmark with a spirit of cooperation."
    See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikiped...roject_Denmark for LOTS more information.

    Do people say "Happy Constitution Day?" Or is there a traditional greeting? (After the discussion about Memorial Day greetings here, I don't want to ruffle any feathers..)
    I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
