    Moonlight Serenade

I was sleeping sooooo very nice the other night. I woke at 2AM to a cat screaming. I jumped out of bed and stood in the dark room listening to determine WHERE the crying cat is. I have three boys with crystal issues. Pouncer is bloated and grumpy (he's sitting next to me right now with tail twiching and growl box rumbling ). Mikey is peeing everywhere . Msytic is just himself (which is to say "love me" one minute and "leave me alone" the next).... it could be that any of these boys was blocking and crying in pain.

I strained and listened. Hubby asked me what I was doing. I shhed him and asked him if he heard the crying kitty. He said he did - that it was coming from outside. I ran downstairs and turned on the porch light. A HUGE kitty was sitting outside my back door just singing his heart out.

I had bought a new litterbox earlier that day and left the dirty one outside. I guess he smelled my cats and decided to profess his love. Who knows?

Of course, all my cats ignored the moonlight serenade, but they didn't ignore me being up: they were HUNGREEEEEEE.

I went back to sleep to the sound of 7 cats contentedly crunching their midnight snack and never saw or heard the love sick kitty again.

I'm glad none of your boys were meowing because of their urinary troubles! (While you're up, meowmie... we could use some noms ) I hope the love-sick kitty found his way home.

Glad you had hubby there to help figure out where the noise was coming from! Hopefully Mr. Yowler found his way back to his own home, and won't appear for a repeat performance!
