Your wings are beautiful. Thank you for showing them off for us. I'm so glad you are in a home with loving people who can take good care of you now. I sometimes worry about animals in families of smokers. Second hand smoke is hard on humans. Who knows what it does to little lungs of animals. I'm glad you are healthy and happy and having a wonderful time it sounds like.

Greetings Red! Happy Pet of the Day to you, beautiful boy!
Looking at your photos it's hard to imagine you unkempt and ailing, in need of care; anything less than the vibrant, healthy, happy boy I see before me! I'm so sorry that your former family, though I'm sure meaning well, were unable to give you the care and attention you needed. But thankfully your elderly dad loved you enough to know when it was time to surrender you to a home capable of providing you with all that you needed, emotionally and physically! And though you've only been with your forever family for a mere few months, you've already taken your rightful place in their hearts, and they in yours! How lucky your Mom Dot, and Pa Pa are, having a beautiful, best feathered friend in you, and I hope for you and them many, many more happy years together!

Yes, it IS hard to imagine your condition before coming into the home of people who could give you the optimum care you deserve. You are certainly BEAUTIFUL now, and you will soon forget (if you haven't already) your previous suffering, Red. May you enjoy many, many joyful years with your beloved guardians Dot and Pa Pa.
