    UPDATE 3/26/12

The estate has decided to take this scared boy to a kill shelter if no home/foster is found within a few days.
They are being less than understanding about the 97 year old woman's cat. Dennis is a good cat but needs time to adjust to a new situation. He is a scared boy who has no idea why his world has been turned upside down. He's living in a home without his owner for over 25 days. The niece is coming up from Florida and will be taking him to a kill shelter.

He is featured in this past Sunday's Paw Print (Union County). He needs a foster/home with no other pets and a place that understands he needs time to adjust.

At home he is known to be chatty, a mush, a lap cat, good with an 8 year old girl, nice with people he knows and adored his
owner. He just needs someone who will give him a chance to shine.

He's 3 to 4 years old. Fully vetted.

Can someone please help. He would be a great cat for a retired couple or person.

    Thank you.

    ORIGINAL POST 3/19/12

Dennis is a scared kitty who has lost his mom. His owner passed away 20 days ago and Dennis is beside himself. He has been spoiled, he's king of his large home and has always been well cared for by his owner. Dennis is a large boy, very handsome and striking looking.

We do not have a foster situation that would be good for Dennis at this time. He needs a quiet place without other kitties. He is nervous right now because he's only used to 1 or 2 people. He would make a great companion kitty for an older person who is retired. (He loves to mush on the legs of his caretaker, loves to be brushed and talks up a storm). BUT he won't do that unless he knows you.

He needs a place where someone will give him sometime to adjust &understanding He's lost a lot and is going to lose more. The 97 year old woman has no family to take him. Her niece is in Florida and can not take him.

She has had him fully vetted - shots, FIV/FELV neg and he was previously fixed.. His recent check up was good as well. Dennis came from a shelter previously. He is approx 3 to 4 years old. (Dr Gordon of House Calls For Pets has his records)

If anyone has a good situation for him, please let us know. We thought we had a good home, but the man's granddaughter is highly allergic. =0(

The care taker is over 80 years old herself and is hoping someone can help Dennis because she can not. (He is very good with her)

    Thank you.

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
