The legend says that Mohammed adored cats. When one of them was sleeping on his sleeve and he had to go out, Mohammed supposedly cut off the sleeve so as not to disturb his pet.

Your not wierd...I've been collecting whiskers for years!!! I have a glass "whisker box" that I store them in. I've got at least 100 in there. They're mostly from my 4 guys, but some are from friends cats as well.

That is so cute! I never even thought of saving the found whiskers, but this is a good way to do it. Every now and then I'll find one of Tubby's, but I think that's becaue they are black and just about everything else in the house is white so they are easy to see. I've never found one of Peanut's, but hers are white....

I never thought of it. But I will now! I'll be on the whisker-prowl from now on.

I usually find Pepper's whiskers because they are black but I won't be saving them. I even found his canine baby teeth but I didn't save these either.

yeah but your cats are all young. I don't think they shed them out at the same rate they do their hair

I have found some on blankets when I wash them, but guess I don't pay much attention or I would probably find more.

I have a medicine bag which contains, among other things, cat whiskers. I have them going back to Mischief, who ran away 9 years ago, and RB Smokey the Elder. I even try to get fosters'.
