    Maya

What's not to love about this lovely little lady, Maya. I think you folks won the puppy lottery when you connected with Maya. I'm thankful for you and others who rescue needy animals and give them a loving home. Maya's coloring is almost identical to that of a small mixed breed dog I once had, Jack. He was a wonderful pup and a great traveler. I, too, rescued a 12-week old pup back in September that had been abandoned along a rural road with his litter mates. He a beautiful Boxer mix and a good pup. But back to Maya: Based on your description, she is already a very good dog and I have no doubt that the bond between you will grow even stronger as you experience life together. Bless your heart Dear Maya and congratulations on being our wonderful Dog Of The Day.

    Maya!

What a beautiful pup you are, Maya! I love your coloring, and I don't know which picture I like the most because they're all great. I love the part about turning from side to side in the sun so as to get an even tan! ) And thank God for wonderful people like yourselves who rescued Maya. God Bless you.

Maya looks exactly like my Australian Kelpie. Not knowing her size and seeing her tail & coat it's hard to tell, but the face, eyes and marking are the same, even the comment about the barking is the same.

    Beloved Maya in California!

She makes circles around me at home when I'm dressing to hurry me up; she leans on my leg and lies down on the bathroom mat with her toy while I'm brushing teeth and getting ready. She rests her snout on my lap as I eat in hopes of getting a piece of whatever I have. She is an energetic dog just as much as she is a lazy bum. She loves baking in the sun next to the open balcony door, rolling from side to side every 20 minutes as if to ensure an even tan.
Awww, Maya! How dear that you walked right up and chose your person that day! I can tell who's in charge at your house -- you! Please have your people give you a big hug from me today. I love the last picture of you with your big front feeties. Shepherd and rottie, you just might grow up to be a tall girl! Happy Dog of the Day to you!
