    So, big news!

So, I have big news. I figured, I wanted to share with everyone on here. I've been on PT for a long time. Well, as most of you all know, Mike and I have been dating for a long time. It will be 5 years in January! Hard to believe. So, we decided to move on to the next step, which is finding a HOUSE! After that, we plan on getting engaged eventually - we aren't in a rush - we would like to be able to afford a nice wedding/reception when it comes to the right timing. So, we have found this perfect house that we absolutely love. It has 3 acres of land, a nice ranch house with a big basement and deck out back. It's pretty much what we have been looking for. We will also plan on getting a puppy - most likely a Labrador Retriever or Retriever mix. (he's really pushing me towards to getting another Lab instead of a Golden Retriever or any other type of breed that I've been interested into for a while..) This will happen after the house thing, so I would be the one who is at home most of the time, so I will be able to be there for the dog, train him/her, spend time with him/her - since I have a very flexible lifestyle - I freelance as a photographer, so I enjoy it. I have been doing very well with that A LOT lately so I am proud of myself for that.

I haven't really said anything about this and we've been searching for a long time, for about a year now. So, we put down a OFFER on the house the other day, and the seller counter offered us so we put down ANOTHER offer and we are waiting on to see what will happen now. We both are really nervous about this - waiting is such a tough thing to do. We are hoping it works out for us with this house we found, it would be so nice if it did. Could I ask for good thoughts & prayers to send out our way? We are VERY excited. We are ready. I just think that, you know, after 5 years, I am so lucky to have someone like him. I don't know what I would do and I'm so glad I trusted on my gut feeling 5 years ago about him. Maybe it was fate, after all.

I hope that everything will work out and that you'll get the house. I'm sure that the rest will just fall into place naturally. Lots of prayers and positive thoughts are being sent your way.

What great news! You have been waiting quite some time, but now it's settled. I hope you get the house, will certainly send positive thoughts.

How exciting!~ Good luck with the house. After 10 years, I STILL remember the fun, excitement and nerves of buying my first home, lol.

I remember hearing about when you first met and starting dating Mike. It's so great to hear how happy you both are together.
I will be thinking positive thoughts that your counter offer is accepted.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Thanks! I'm VERY nervous. This waiting game is crazy. Mike has been losing sleep over the house and he really wants this to work out. As so do I. Fingers crossed.

Don't stress too much about the house, "the perfect house" is only truly perfect if you get it. If you don't, you weren't meant to. David and I looked for awhile, and had two places that we would have LOVED to have, but now . . . the house we have is the perfect house. Because it's our home. Who knows how the other places would have worked out? Things that seem like they would be great, sometimes end up not living up to the expectation. Good luck, and just be patient. The right place will come at the right time, have faith in that!

Big news! WE GOT THE HOUSE! We had this feeling that it would be ours as soon as we put down the offer on it. We are beyond excited. We get the keys on the 18th of January. We will have the house inspection next Tuesday so that's already all set to go. So I will probably look around and take more pictures of the house, and explore out the backyard (it's 3 acres, couldn't go far last time because it was very muddy. Out way back, we have a dirt bike track. I just hope we don't end up keeping that down the road. Haha. So it pretty much happened fast, too. So we're really looking forward to it. The next chapter of our life.
