I was so excited to see an Elkhound as Dog of the Day. You don't see many of them around. I used to have one (Gunnar, aka Gunnar the Wonder Dog). They're fantastic dogs, highly intelligent (which can be both good and bad, as any Elkhound owner -- and I use that term loosely, as who really "owns" another being -- knows) and very energetic. And he loved to play with our two cats (as well as steal their food).

So, congrats to Jared for being Dog of the Day! You're a very handsome boy, and well deserving of the honor!

What a stunningly handsome boy you are, and being of Norwegian heritage myself, I was so excited to see a fun loving, snow obsessed NE, a fellow Norwegian, being honored here today!
