    Arthritis Treatments??

    Hi Everyone,

When we got Squeekers, nearly 7 years ago we were told that she was 4 years old - which would now make her 11 this May. However, our vet feels she may actually be a few years old... Any ways the past year or so Squeekers has began limping and stiffening up terribly, my poor girl. The vet has been giving her monthly injections the past several months for her arthritis but they don't appear to be helping her much at all...

Supposedly it's the worst in her elbows, poor baby... and she seems to be getting worse. Our vet hasn't been all the helpful from the sounds of things, my Mom usually takes Squeek to see her. Is there any natural ways to help cats deal with arthritis? I'm pretty clueless... Any thoughts or advice would be much appreciated, I hate to see my girl in pain.

Cosequin is a glucosamine/chrondroitin supplement (like humans take) for arthritis, and Omega Caps a fish oil supplement. I get both from healthypets.com - they can both be mixed in with a bit of canned food. Smudge even likes the fish oil straight up.

    Hope this helps!

Get a second opinion from another vet, too. Just a suggestion.
