Christmas shopping is seriously curtailed this year....

... because it cost nearly $600 to find out that Don Juan doesn't have diabetes, kidney disease, thyroid problems or ate-something-I-shouldn't. Just a minor intestinal infection and teeth that needed to be cleaned.

But we've been friends for a long time, and it needed to be done. Sigh.

And by about 3200 dollars this year for denistry and senior check ups for Michael, Princess and Joseph, only to find that after all that Our Ctas are not infinite, and that there is a time when they will fulfill their destinies and become Awesome Angels.

But I do not begrudge the money, I would have felt guilty if I did not try to help My Senior Kittyzens

I hear ya! But remember --

It isn't the gifts; it is the SPIRIT OF THE SEASON which counts!

Spending that money to take care of your beloved furkid would be the very best gift you could give me!
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

Amen to that! And overindulgence in catnip is the most trouble they'll ever do on their own.

Amen to the other comments. No sassy mouths (well not much!) I'd happily not get any gifts if all kitties were taken care of as well as yours. Cheers to priorities! Happy ho ho's to all furkids and purrants!

A couple of years ago, Christmas gifts were out of the questions because I had just spent almost $2,000 on Ming. Well the money is back in the bank and Ming is still with us. I'd say it was worth it.

I've been there before too. I'm so glad that you finally got a proper diagnosis and now he's on the road to recovery. Life is too precious to put a dollar sign on it.
