What a gorgeous, talented, lovable, sweet creature you are Simon, and one amazing ambassador for hens near and far! You certainly do wear many hats, don't you? hehe From teacher, to ambassador, to artist, to best friend and loving companion; you do it all! I went over to your eBay page and I must say, your work is stunning (though as has been said, not quite as stunning as you)!!! And I loved reading your Mommy's write up there, along with all of those heartwarming messages in support of you and your cause! Wow, you are one impressive girl, and we thank you Simon for your dedication, for doing so much to better your community, this world, with your outreach, your talent, your beautiful spirit! Thank you all for the wonderful wishes you have sent Simon.

We are so pleased that our little bird will be able to help such a good cause that benefits children.

We started raising backyard chickens for eggs a year ago (we'll never eat any of our girls) and had no idea how much fun and joy they would bring into our lives. The chickens have provided us with great entertainment, have made wonderful pets for the kids, and provide us with eggs for breakfast.

We love Simon as well as all the girls in our flock.

Hi Simon! I posted about your painting on here, and then almost missed this fine honor for you, ha haaa.

You certainly are a very special chicken, such a good ambassador for the chicken kingdom. How funny that you had some difficulties as the wee one in the group as a baby. Well, I'm sure you didn't think it funny at the time. But all that handling by Trevor must have helped you develop such a polite personality!

I was quite intrigued by your art work, which sounds like it was a family project! Good for you, keeping all of them involved. And I just love that you signed it in blue!

Thank you for all your kind wishes. We are very proud of Simon and what she has been able to do to raise money for our local playground. I'm sure that children will be talking about this little bird for years to come.

It's ironic that Simon started off with a rough start (from struggle comes wisdom) and that she is named after an amazing artist (she and her twin sister are named - wait for it - Simon and Garfunkel). My 6 kids have held a special place in their hearts for her and I'm sure that's one of the reasons why she is so well mannered.

The auction doesn't end for a few more days but no matter what the final bid is, we couldn't be prouder of our little artist.
