    Gentse Floraliën

Flanders (region in Belgium) is world famous for it's flower industry. My own village Lochristi has uncountable flower nurseries and is specialised in Azalea and Begonia.
Every 5 year, there is afantastic happening in Ghent, called the "Gentse Floraliën" , or in English "the Floralies of Ghent".
Visitors come from all over the world to visit this breathtaking beauty of this happening. I live only 12 km east of it
I found this picture show and I want to share it with you all!
    Enjoy!!

Your pictures of Gentse Floraliën are outstanding . I was always blown away by the flower beauty in Belgium & the Netherlands this time if year. Of course the Keukenhof gardens in Lisse is world famous as is Floralies of Ghent. The thing that We enjoyed even more than the Gardens was just traveling through the Benelux during crocuses time because all the green space in the villages everywhere was aflame in every color crocuses that can be imagined. I would love to be there right now, I'm sure every thing is at it's peak about now.

    WOW!

There was one waterfall pic - I will try to get back to it, and finish watching the slide show later.

I bet the air is so wonderful to breathe in that building, filtered by all the green plants. Thanks so much for sharing!

    WOW!!!!!

    Breathtakingly beautiful, indeed!

    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

I guess I was in Ghent at the wrong time of year (ages ago). What a fantastic reason to go back!

I was just strutting like a proud peacock all week, bragging how beautiful my front garden looks with all the azelas, after pruning and watering and feeding them. Now I think they look horrible compared to your gorgeous pictures. Of course I'm 1/2 joking. but I'm wearing 1/2 a frown.

    I've been Boooo'd!
