Gosh this is Kirby. Kirby was in the dog run for the afternoon and he somehow slipt through the gate. Orin was outside playing and Orin DOES NOT like other males that are un or recently altered. This boy had just been neutered. Orin attacked him! Poor Kirby. We rushed outside, and stopped it, grabbed Kirby and brought him inside to be looked over. Orin tore him up pretty bad with two deep bite wounds and two that barely broke the skin. We rushed him to emergency, and Kirby had to have surgery. THis is him now four days after his surgery with all his drain tubes. The one bite wound (which ALL three tubes are for) was two 1/2 inches deep. So Kirby's surving! Poor boy, we felt so bad for him. He's doing well now, and Orin's now ALWAYS surely away from the male dogs! We still love Orin though! Not his fault, just a dog thing, which happens. We now have to play the switching game in letting Orin in and out and who's already outside.

He sure is a cutie. I hope that Orin still holds a special place in your heart. A dog thing for sure, but still it was hard to hear this. Get well soon dear, little Kirby.
