UTI symptoms

Does anyone know what the symptoms of a UTI in a dog are, besides inappropriate urination? My male siberian husky, Hoodoo, peed in the house twice last night in less than an hour. The urine had no smell and little color. Hoodoo hasn't had an accident inside in at least two years (he's 3) and this wasn't marking behavior. He seems to be his happy little self otherwise. He had lots of energy on his run earlier in the evening. He was playing with his sisfur, Kayleigh, running like a loon and generally acting like a husky! I plan to take him to the vet, but am just wondering if there are any other signs I should be looking for?

Please realize that most of my knowledge is cat oriented, but my first suggestion is getting a urine sample to the vet. It sure can't hurt, and it has to be easier to get a sample froma dog than from a cat. LOL.
Along with inappropriate peeing there is usually frequent attempts to pee and possibly some pain associated with it.
