    Yodie: finally some good news!

Yodie had her checkup today and when Dr. Lee looked in her ear, he said "Wow!" I said "Good wow or bad wow?" He said "I didn't expect her ear to look that good!" The MRSA is gone, baby, gone! Her incision healed nicely and the ear itself was so clean that he said "You did a really good job". (Hey, all I did was give her the meds. He's the man.) Her eye is a little scarred but nothing major.

So no more meds; nothing in her ear, nothing in her eye, no pills to take. He said to take her off everything and just watch her for signs of another polyp or infection. He did say that he can almost guarantee that she'll get another polyp but seeing that it was 5 years between this last one and the first one, he's hopeful that it'll at least be that long again.

Yodie hid from me and I had to bring out the artillery to get her out of the basement (squirt gun and broom). I hated to do that but she was crammed in there tightly under a big piece of furniture that I couldn't move and we had to leave for her appt. She hid her head in the crook of my arm when I took her out of the carrier but she didn't fight, didn't make a sound. I think she was relieved that there were no shots or collar. LOL

Boy, did we ever need this one!
    Blessings,
    Mary

Woo Hoo! This is great news! I am doing the happy dance!

Now you can have your Yoda girl back. Is she trusting you yet to not do something "horrible" to her?

Yodie, it's ok. Mommy only wants to give you loves now. No more meds or shots or collars.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Mary and Yodie, CONGRATULATIONS to you both!

    Well done!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!
