    Lumps on Lexi's back leg?

I was cuddling with Lexi today and noticed that on her back leg, up high closer to her tail, there were three or four small, hard lumps. They actually felt like tiny knots of fur (what I originally thought they were, since she's long haired and knots easily), but after examining her with my mom we are pretty sure they're under the skin.

She's overdue (only a few weeks) for a check up so she'll be going to the vet as soon as we can get her in, but until then, does anyone have any idea what it might be? She's a 6-7 year old spayed cat.

Ugh, just when we sorted all our cat issues out. And Sadie's peeing inside again, so we have to take her back to the vet about this. Why must it all happen at once?

Hopefully the lumps are just a skin irritation and not anything serious. Sorry to hear that things seem to all be happening at once. It sometimes seems like that's the way things happen; feast or famine. Hope things start looking up for you soon.

I hope so. The only thing is, I actually felt them a few weeks ago, but assumed that they were the beginnings of a knot and just wrote myself a note to give her a real thorough brushing soon. :/

I don't have any advice but my prays are with you and Lexi and I hope it's nothing serious.

well, we're going to the vet in about a half hour - hopefully we'll have an answer then.

We lost one of our babies, Freddie, a few years ago to cancer. She had tumors on her mammary glands...I'm just hoping Lexi doesn't have anything like that..

Sorry guys my computer had a virus so I couldn't get on.

The vet said that she wasn't too worried about them but just to be sure she gave Lexi a shot of antibiotics and wanted us to check the lumps and tell her about them when we bring Sadie in for her two week check up (sadie got another UTI) I haven't felt them in about a week, but when I did they hadn't gotten any bigger. I'll have to go look!

    Lexi

Glad to hear that the lumps aren't cancer. I had a feeling it wasn't. It's hard not to think the worst when you feel a lump. That's good news, and good luck with Sadie, also!
