Prayers for my Yodie, please; She has MRSA; *Update* 1/5; good/bad news; #269

It's her ear again, the one that had the polyp in it 6 years ago. Occasionally, she gets crud in that ear but this time I noticed her shaking her head, walking w/her head tilted and rubbing her ear up against the furniture. Yesterday she shook her head and a bunch of stuff flew out of her ear. Eeew! I called Dr. Lee right away, took her in for an appt. today and he did a culture and a biopsy. The fact that he did a biopsy makes me a little nervous because I don't recall his doing that before. He said that he couldn't even see her eardrum because there was so much crud in there. So I'll get results tomorrow, hopefully. Please give Yodie a little thought when you're saying your prayers. I don't want another ear polyp growing in that ear.

Btw, I had sent him an email reminding him that he said he'd do back flips if Pidge made it another year which, of course, she has and that he'd better warm up those muscles. When he walked into the room he said "Well now, everyone in the office wants to see me do back flips". I said "Yes, and I want pictures, too." He threw his head back and really gave me a belly laugh and said "I'll bet you do, too, don't ya? I'm not as spry as I used to be". LOL Who is?

Awww, I will keep her in my thoughts. She reminds me of my Paizly Poo. I hope she doesn't have another polyp and it is a quick fix for her ear trouble.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Aw, poor Yodie! I relate to your problem. MooShoo, being hairless, needs his ears cleaned at least twice a week. And sometimes, he'll do what Yodie did, shakes his head and some God awful piece of brown crud comes flying out of his ear. Because he has no fur to block the gunk from settling in his ears, he gets them alot.

I hope and pray that Yodie will be okay and there's nothing to worry about.

Thanx, everyone. She's so healthy, it's ridiculous except for this ear thingie. I clean her ears every day since she had the polyp surgery but, apparently, that still doesn't prevent her from getting crud buildup. I don't want to have to put her through another surgery. Laser surgery is fairly painless unless the polyp grows down into her throat as it did last time. Then, Dr. Lee says, it burns her throat, makes it difficult to eat and swallow, poor girl. She's on Clavamox tablets and Baytril right now so, hopefully, this will clear it all up. Dr. Lee will be on vacation next week so I want her on the road to recovery before he leaves. I love the other vets but you all know how I feel about Dr. Lee.
    Blessings,
    Mary

Such a pretty grey girl with those bits of muted Tortie colour. Prayers that this is easily treatable. Please give her hugs and kissies from me!
