the marathon

I have a relative that will run in the Boston Marathon! She is my nephew's girlfriend (almost a niece) and she's an avid runner. Her name is Briar (I know it's an unusual name for a girl!) and she's 25. My brother, his wife, my nephew, and Briar are going up to Boston to see the course. I hope she stay's near the top.

Wow, the marathon route goes right by my street! Maybe we can meet up when they are in Boston, so I can tell my neighbors who we are looking for. The kids always enjoy hunting for a particular person to cheer on. We like it when runners have their names on their shirts so we can yell "Go, David!" as we are located just before the start of Heartbreak Hill, so we feel everyone can use extra encouragement.

Last year, catnapper's stepson ran, but we never did spot him, as he must have been in a group that passed when we couldn't see everyone's bib number.
