This piece of music haunted me....

...for several years. Heard it at a workplace, then as the occasional theme music for a radio show. Googled the show's playlist, and found it.

It's called "Memory Gospel", written and performed by Moby http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moby

Warm, sad, sweet, lovely...I hope you feel its beauty too.

.wmv was too large to attach...here is a link. Just minimize the pic and listen.

It's pretty, but I kept waiting for the lyrics to start! It makes sense now that I know it was part of a score for a movie!

Well, technically, there ARE lyrics...the word "yeah". LOL That's what the human voice is singing.

Soundtrack for a movie? Did I miss something?

The reason I posted that video version - which is pretty enough - is that the .wmv file was too big to attach, and any page with just the audio on it was hard to find again! :-)

From the page you linked to:

"Moby composed the score for the film Southland Tales."

And yes, I understood that repeated "Yeah," but expected more than that!

oops, yes I did miss something! lol

Wikipedia on the movie, just released two years ago. "Memory Gospel" was taken from one of Moby's albums - but you won't hear it on a recording of the movie soundtrack.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southland_Tales#Soundtrack
The soundtrack for Southland Tales was released in stores and online on November 6, 2007. Amongst the songs not available on the soundtrack but featured in the film are Muse's "Blackout", The Killers' "All These Things That I've Done", and Blur's "Tender". Additionally, tracks from Radiohead, Louis Armstrong, Beethoven, Kris Kristofferson and several tracks from Moby's Hotel:Ambient are likewise absent from the album. The reason for the exclusion of some of these tracks, like the song by The Killers was as a result of a dispute with the record label.[14]
