The wrong solution for feral cats

    Hi PT friends,
A few days ago I got a disturbing e-mail from Alley Cat Allies about feral cats. Some elected officials are suggesting the best way to handle feral cats is to shoot them! That's a cruel and inhumane approach that is not necessary. I signed the petition attached to the e-mail and suggested TNR is a much better approach. You can access the October 26 item at:

If you oppose this, please consider signing the petition and passing the e-mail along to other animal lovers.

I've signed this petition earlier so I'm becoming cyncial, wondering if petitions do any good. TNR makes so much more sense and is humane. Besides, if they're not too feral, they can be adopted. My Yodie, Creamsicle and Coco Puff are feral but you'd never know it now.
    Blessings,
    Mary
