    My large octopus tattoo! *picture*

I'd like to post my latest tattoo, this one is my third.

Eventually it's going to be colored, brownish with highlights of bright blue, pink, orange, and purple.

And I'm already planning the next one. People have said tats are addictive and they're darn right! I loved getting it, it didn't really hurt at all but then again I've also heard your shoulders are one of the least painful spots to get it done. Here is a crappy picture I took with my isight camera.

I got it done on Tuesday so it's still healing.

Here is the image I took into the tattoo parlour.

And here is the image I started with.

I used the pen tool in Photoshop to make a vector image since the original wasn't that great quality and I was concerned that if I aimed for too realistic the chance that it'd look funny was higher.

It is a Tasmanian tiger, also known as a thylacine, right?

I may be too old to really appreciate tattoos but I love the design. I also recognized the Tasmanian tiger and I think the picture is just great-it turned out so elegant out of that very old photograph.

    Love the tattoos!

The octopus is great, so is the tasmanian tiger! How long did each tattoo take?

The thylacine took like an hour maybe? I was half asleep so I don't really know. (It was a loooooong day of horse camp before I went to get it) and the octopus took a little over an hour. My other one is just stars on my wrist and they took like ten minutes.
