My name is Sylvester and I'm a stunning and handsome, black, declawed, polydactyl boy. I am 6 years old, neutered, tested (neg), vaccinated and microchiped. I was recently left at a high kill city shelter by my owner who I loved very much. I became emotionally traumatized by the loss of my family and being in a high kill shelter with all the noise and commotion. My vet even said that I was one of the most emotionally traumatized kitties he has ever seen. I told my vet that I didn't know how not to be scared and traumatized and that I needed help. He recommended to my rescuer and foster mommy that I start on medication right away to help me with my trauma as I was afraid of people, noise, my cage, my vet, everything under the sun. It wasn't fun for me as I was upset all the time. I wish I could tell my rescuer and foster mommy what other things have traumatized me but for them it will be a painful secret that remains only within me. Now that I have my new medicine which is tuna flavor, YUMMMYYYY, I am doing much better. I even come out and lay around, purr, even let you rub my belly sometimes. I really like to chase the birdies that I see when I sit on my window perch. I have made lots of strides but I need a forever Mommy or Daddy who will help me continue to grow and flourish. My medicine is what is helping me and I will need to stay on that. My vet told me no worries as it's inexpensive and tastes yummy. Wow my vet is

I am in urgent need of a quiet, calm, and safe, forever home, with an experienced cat person, who will let me be myself, and allow me to trust and socialize and play at my own pace. I'm not sure how I am with other kitties because my foster Mommy doesn't have any but I think if there were 1 or 2 other kitties that would help me be a carefree kitty then I would be fine. I don't want any bullies cause I get scared and shy.
I am hoping there is a special place out there for for me as I am truly deserving, loving, selfless little boy who just wants to feel safe and loved. I would really love a human who will both give me the time and space to be alone, but also gently encourage, and help me to trust again. Could you be that person???
