Mom coyote has pups under Calgary garden shed

Coventry Hills is on the 'edge' of Calgary, and it's quite common to see wildlife. The pics below are just TOO CUTE, and Mom is beautiful.

However, they'll have to be moved at some point, as adult coyotes can hurt kids and kill pets. Meanwhile...I just love the pups being pups!

It's amazing how beautiful wildlife can be, even from a distance.

there was a coyote out on our back yard last night. it scares me though cause we have cats and sometimes our little dogs get out of the fence when we let them out to use the bathroom.

    What a great photo.

But as someone wrote on that picture / story website, it is worrisome that a mom would have her litter so close to humans. It doesn't bode well for the future of the pups.* I hope the DEM / Animal Control can trap and relocate them in a less urban setting, but with plenty of food. (Not much of that left around here).

    * Because they will also grow up close to humans and have no fear of the human scent, which can get them in trouble.
