Shelter dog photography *4 pics*

On my last visit to the shelter I took some pics of the dogs being sad and wanting to come out of their kennels. Honestly, they are supposed to be sad because my point was to portray what life is like for a shelter dog and how much they want a home...


This is Pinky, she's a pitty girl who was adopted twice but brought back through no fault of her own, one was a divorce and the 2nd reason was because they were moving. The family loved her but they could not bring her with them when they moved, when they left her at the shelter the toddler was sobbing. I feel so bad for her, she's getting really sad at the shelter.

Maple, she was found as a stray and she was obviously abused. It was painfully obvious. She was scared when you raised your voice slightly, she'd cower in fear. She was very skinny and when I went to throw the tennis ball for her to catch she ran away thinking I was gonna hit her. Luckily she was adopted recently.

This was a black retriever mix named Gigi, she was a PERFECT dog, exactly what the stereotype of a dog is playful, friendly, loyal, loving..She was also adopted!

Just decided to post these, not too great but I liked them, and these dogs are very special.

They're all so cute! I love them all! and I agree shelter animals are very special to me also. They're lucky to have you as their friend. I am so glad Gigi and Maple were adopted. I hope Pinky finds a forever home that's stable! Such a sweet pit bull girl.

Awww, I'm glad to hear Maple and Gigi were adopted. I know how hard it is to see them come back. We recently had a few come back, but they were quickly adopted out again. I hope the same will be true for Pinky, she is so adorable.
I love the paw print holes in the plexi-glass. That's too cute.

Yeah, the renovated shelter is finally finished! The pawprint is a cute idea, isn't it? Thanks for the comments Pinky is so sweet, she deserves a good home, I feel terrible that she is STILL There.

They're all sweethearts. I love Pinky!! I hope she gets a great home soon. Poor little girl.

I think it's great to post these pictures, Alyssa. It makes us all more aware of what's out there in the real world. Thanks a million to you, Krista, and all the shelter workers that go and help these babies. We love you guys and gals for it!!
