    When refridgerators go bad.

    So does all your food.

Does mustard really have to be refridgerated?

I just read today that those little foil packets of mayo that you get at sandwich shops are good for 3-5 YEARS even at room temperature

From the label of my jar of Plochman's - Refrigerate after opening to seal in freshness. And from the label of my jar of Grey Poupon - Refrigerate after opening.

Cool. Ill just keep anything else in the standup freezer or outside.

If need be I can use my keg-o-rator for keeping things cools.

Edit: I have the Frenches mustard.

Edit: I have the French's mustard.
From the French's mustard site -
Q: Do FRENCH'SŪ Mustards need to be refrigerated?
A: Dijon & Horseradish Mustard will lose heat and distinct flavor, so we encourage refrigeration for both. For all other mustards, refrigerating will help maintain its flavor; however, it is not necessary if you prefer your mustard to be room temperature. There are no ingredients in mustard that spoil. "Refrigerate After Opening" is not required for food safety. It is recommended to maintain optimal product flavor.

It's got so much vinegar in it, that helps preserve it.

Even here in california in the winter I keep some stuff outside since my fridge in my garage broke. I imagine it is plenty cold there, your only risk may be it freezing

    Fridges I can handle.

    The freezers are the biatch.

LOL, one went bad and within a few days of it's trip south I thought the neighbors were going to call the police to report the dead body next door while I cleaned it out..

What happens is cool air travels downward, so the fridge stays cooler - Plus something about the compressor that heats up the coil inside the freezer box that makes all the frozen stuff go bad......

My ' freezer dead body' was in the garage.
