Central, Southern Cal and San Diegan Night Owls?

NASA will launch a satellite at 1:51 PST on Tuesday morning.

This will be visible in the western sky as a bright light traveling 30-40 degrees off the horizon, and should be going from west to south.

This is alot of fun to watch out for and can be seen with the naked eye , better with binoculars....

    See yall then!

    Richard,
Did you know it crashed 3 mins after takeoff? Here is the link to CNN for the story.

    WHoa!
IT looked like a good launch. I have seen quite a few of the launches and it
had a smooth look to it.

It started as a really bright red dot that travels upward and to the south.
The first stage flickered off and then the second stage kicked in and it disappeared into the southern sky.

THere is a comet that's visible for the next week or so, would you take that in trade?
